Get Social At Bootleg

Bootleg Social is still Blackpool’s newest alternative music bar and live venue and the three gents who own it have spent the last few years building a reputation for being thoroughly nice chaps. They are up for supporting local arts and social activities and have also been busy programming an exciting range of gigs, DJ sets and events themselves.

If you haven’t yet found the bar, it’s located at 30 Topping Street and is open Monday-Wednesdays 7pm-1am, Thursdays 7pm-3am, Friday-Saturday 5pm-3am and is well worth popping in to enjoy an early doors drink in a leather wing-back chair, a casual calzone, game of pool or a late night jump about on the dance floor.

However, they have also launched a new season of events, the majority of which can be found on their Facebook events page. Including:

However there are a few events coming up that are not yet advertised online. These include:

  • Every Wednesday is £1 Cinema Night; mainly screening cult classic films.
  • Every last Friday of the month is Soul Food Night; a night of funk, soul, northern soul & 60’s beats hosted by Johnny Loder and Nicky Witts.
  • Friday 14 October sees a Lee Scratch Perry Film being shown as part of Other Worlds Film Festival followed by classic DJ Don Letts performing a set.
  • Friday 28 October has Gary Powell (The Libertines drummer) DJ Set

Prices are very reasonable and vary from event to event with tickets mostly being available on the door but booking in advance is also possible.
