Friday 13 September was a fortunate date for anyone managing to get down to the promenade in time for the fireworks at 8.30pm. The combination of world famous illuminations and championship standard fireworks display is always a big draw and China’s reputation for spectacular shows means that Friday night was hugely popular. In case you missed them, or if you’d like to see them again, altblackpool sent four of the town’s finest photographers, Jay Clapp, Claire Griffiths, Red Snapper and Kev Malone, down to capture the night.
The championship continues on 20 September at 7.30pm with France’s entry. Arrive early for the best views.
