Performers – Are you interested in:
- Working together with other locals to make a new play for stage?
- Being part of a theatre company where your ideas, creativity and input are valued and actively shape the work produced for audiences?
- Exploring big, challenging concepts and responding artistically to them; promoting discussion and inviting others to think differently?
- Creating something that is brilliant, beautiful and a bit bonkers in Blackpool?
Then why not join The Old Electric’s Community Theatre Company?
The Old Electric recognises that becoming part of Blackpool’s most established ensemble-theatre-making company can be a life-altering experience and so taking part will involve:
- Attending rehearsals Thursdays 6-9pm between January-July 2027 including occasional additional sessions and being available for performances 8-11 July 2027.
- Being an active member of the company; contributing ideas and making creative suggestions during and outside of rehearsals.
- Committing to exploring/expanding your skills in all aspects of the theatre-making process
Being prepared to let go of ideas and ways of working that don’t serve the production as a whole or group dynamic.
Practical workshop-style auditions are being held on:
Friday 13 November 6-7.30pm + Saturday 14 November 10.30am-12noon
Register to attend one of the above sessions at theoldelectric.co.uk. You do not need to prepare anything in advance, just come in clothing in which you can move easily.
