This month
In this session, you will learn the basic techniques to get you started with the timeless classic of lacemaking. Drawing from her own experience and historical research, Heather will introduce beginners to the art of lacemaking using a rough thread to outline a basic autumnal design. Lace was once a major fashion item used to decorate garments, accessories & furnishings. There are different types of lacemaking to explore further from the exotic reticella, Ruskin style, needle lace and the more familiar bobbin lace or pillow lace.
