Blackpool Social Club is the home of creativity and culture on the Fylde Coast. We’re dedicated to finding the best of our areas’ vibrant and blooming creative scene and delivering it right to your eyeballs. On top of that we’re making it our mission to find aspiring writers, photographers and film makers and invite them to be part of our star team of contributors, giving everyone a space to showcase their work.
We went live (as altBlackpool) on 30 July 2012 and to date have published over 1,900 articles with a team of more than 20 contributors. We’ve also been privileged to be shortlisted twice for Website of the Year in the Radio Wave Culture & Lifestyle Awards.
The Blackpool Social Club team is made up of volunteer writers, photographers, film makers and editors. Our Editorial Team works hard to build relationships with creative and cultural venues in the area to give our contributors the opportunity to go and see shows free of charge and have the chance to write reviews and capture beautiful images. We’re also passionate about covering the stories of Blackpool’s many talented grassroots artists and creatives, with a focus on the alternative and DIY scenes in the area. If you’d like to be part of the team it couldn’t be simpler, just register your interest.
We’re always on the hunt for events, projects and more besides to feature on the site or to be listed on our what’s on guide. If you’re a creative with something you’d like us to cover simply get in touch with the team. For those with a budget we also have opportunities for advertising and sponsorship through Blackpool Social Club and are keen to hear from organisations who we can work in partnership with.
Blackpool Social Club is a not for profit organisation and part of the Aunty Social family.
