The RSC has run a national playwriting project ‘37 Plays’ and, as a partner of the project, Blackpool Grand is excited to present three of the winning plays as ‘Script in Hand’ performances. Sian is 16, gay and living in the middle of nowhere. School is awful, and home even worse. Life’s only saving grace is her best mate Tick – an immortal tree spirit with a penchant for biscuits. Sian wants nothing more than to spend an eternity in the woods. But the arrival of city-girl Alex and the threat of a shiny new housing development throw a spanner in the works.
