Anthotype Workshop

Date: 15 Aug 2024
Location: Aunty Social
art | crafts

Join Blackpool Community Darkroom for a relaxed workshop discovering the art of the Anthotype. Developed from the 1810s onwards, this slow form of photography uses the light sensitive juices of plants to produce images.
During the workshop we will:
• Explore the history of the process
• Make our own light sensitive material
• Produce photographic paper
• Make a paper negative from a digital image
• Set up an image ready for exposure
You will leave the workshop with an image ready to expose at home, extra paper to play with in your own time and the knowledge of how to complete the process yourself from scratch.
