Reimagining the High Street

Date: 8 Jul 2023
Location: Aunty Social, 28 Topping Street
art | community | family

Are you tired of seeing empty shops on a once bustling high street? What would you fill the spaces with? Join artist Hannah Blackman-Kurz in a colourful re-imagining of Blackpool’s high street. Embrace your wildest dreams and imagine a high street full of all your favourite things, a place to be celebrated and shared with everyone. Pick up your pencils and pens and add some colour to blank shutters and empty windows. You will take home a little concertina fold out of your design to put on your shelf or window for everyone to see. No drawing experience needed. There will be a wide range of materials to choose from to help bring your ideas to life. There will also be word prompts on the table, but feel free do your own thing! This workshop is suitable for age 10+. There are two sessions 11.30am-1pm and 2am-3.30pm. Free, drop in activity – no ticket required.
