The Friends of Stanley Park are running a family friendly and fun Coffee Weekend for Macmillan Cancer Care on Saturday and Sunday 30th Sept, 1st Oct 2023. Beginning at 10.30am and ending at 2.30pm each day. There will be stalls, games, tombola, raffle, coffee, tea, cakes and biscuits. Takings will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Care.

    Antonia Charlesworth Stack is a journalist and editor from Blackpool. She was deputy editor of Big Issue North magazine and is editor of Blackpool Social Club. Antonia is also the founder of Reclaim Blackpool, a women's safety campaign that began life as an article she wrote for Blackpool Social Club. She's a contributing author to the Lancashire Stories anthology with her story about a Blackpool performer, The Call of The Sea. The book is available for free in libraries across the county.

โ€˜I photograph comedians!โ€™ is an exhibition at Showtown which celebrates British photographer Andy Hollingworth. His incredible photographs of some of Britainโ€™s most iconic comedians feature in Showtownโ€™s first major exhibition.

Andy has a unique connection with his subjects and has captured legends like Rowan Atkinson and Victoria Wood. He is the go-to photographer for many modern favourites like Rosie Jones and Romesh Ranganathan. This exhibition celebrates the people that make Britain laugh!

Tickets: Free but there is charge* to visit the rest of the museum.
