Part of the Old Electric’s Power Plays programme – a supported visit to BLAST fest at the Dukes theatre in Lancaster. This trip will be open to 15 Writers-in-Waiting to open up new peer-to-peer relationships with other playwrights across Lancashire. There will be a Meet and Greet with the dukes’ new Chief Executive Chris Lawson and a chance to meet the artists involved in their new writers programme. The 2024 BLAST fest cohort will then come across to Blackpool in July to see the outcomes of the Power Plays festival and to start new dialogues across the county.
