The fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty begins once upon a time, in a far off kingdom when a princess is born.. There is much jubilation around the birth of the princess and all in the land celebrate her arrival except one person, Carabosse, a wicked fairy who didn’t receive an invitation to the christening. In return, an evil spell is cast upon the beautiful princess, by the wicked Carabosse, which means on her sixteenth birthday the princess will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall asleep for one hundred years.
Only a kiss from the princess’ truly beloved can break the spell and wake her but who will kiss the Princess? Silly Billy? The good fairy? Or the handsome prince? In order to see the magical awakening of the beautiful princess from her long and deep sleep you must come along to the pantomime at the Grand Theatre to witness it yourself.
