As previously detailed here in Hoff The Scale, US star David Hasselhoff is coming to Blackpool in the autumn to star in the world premiere of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and itโ€™s no surprise to those of us that live here and love it that the internationally acclaimed actor, presenter and musician says he is looking forward to returning to the resort.

He said: โ€œI know Blackpool is the holiday entertainment capital of the UK and I know folks will love our show, ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’. It’s full of hit songs, big laughs and great memories and I’d say that just about sums up what Blackpool is all about too.”

The Hoff will lead the cast in October to play an extrovert night-club owner and DJ, living on the party island of Ibiza, whose teenage daughter arrives to cause mayhem in his well-established bachelor lifestyle. Mr Hasselhoffโ€™s own hard-partying has been well documented over the years but this time it seems heโ€™s looking forward to revisiting the delights of the Pleasure Beach andย โ€œmaking some new friendsโ€.

So this is a shout-out to the people of this friendliest of seaside resorts to make this international superstar feel welcome and loved and to go see him in performance mode (after all, the people of East Germany invited him to mark their most important moment in twentieth century history so heโ€™s sure to put on a good show!).

David (or can I call you The Hoff?), thereโ€™s a cuppa and a barm cake round at ours with your name on it – anytime!

Last Night a DJ Saved My Life previews at the Winter Gardens on Friday October 16. It will then run from Saturday 17 to Sunday November 1. Tickets are on sale now and are available from the website,ย starting at just ยฃ20.
