Last weekend saw a great event in Blackpool for Northern Soul and for Cancer Research. The Comedy Carpet was invaded by Soul dancers of every age and ability, as they attempted to beat a world record in aid of Cancer Research. Fifteen hundred devotees filled the Carpet, and danced their hearts out to two tracks in order to beat the record of most soul dancers, dancing in an outside event at one time. The pictures in the gallery are testament to the enjoyment of all who participated.
Next year’s charity event is already being planned.
