Infected by Design’s spray cans would make ideal gifts for anyone that likes something different or people who are into urban art.ย They can be bought from the NWBaseline shop/studio on Victoria Street (previously the WHO shop) and currently retail for ยฃ40.ย If you pay a visit to the studio while you’re doing your Christmas shopping you’ll be able to see the artists at work.ย As well as the fantastically detailed spray cans there are a range of paintings and skateboards for sale; each piece a unique work of art.ย Infected by Design also work on commission so if get in touch for something truly unique and personal.
Infected by Design, aka David Healy, has been drawing since he was 2 years old.ย He HAS to doodle something every day.ย David had bad OCD when he was younger so channeled that energy into his drawing to stop him from doing pointless things (washing hands after opening every door, lining shoes up before being able to sleep). It has developed his style into techy, OCD neatness!
Infected By Design is his creative alias but he hopes for it one day to be something bigger.ย David is already recruiting artists to be his team.ย He has two soldiers so far – a girl and a boy.
David considers himself to be basically a posh doodler, always trying new things.ย He is working with a lot of spray paint now for his backgrounds. Recently, he teamed up with Catch 22, Lowdown, He Dreamt Mars, Robin Ross and Danzig to form the Homegrown Collective- check the Infected by Design blog for news on this!
