Seven days to get Switch On tickets

iFest 2015 - Switch On

The burgeoning output on altblackpool at the moment will leave readers in no doubt it is wall to wall arts and culture at the minute. It can be easy to live in the moment and let future events take care of themselves. But if you want to go to the fabulous Illuminations Switch On concert on Friday 2 September take heed – urgent action is required!

The show will be directed in part by Ashley Banjo choreographer and leader of the Britain’s Got Talent-winning dance group Diversity. The Vamps will also join the Switch-On party for the second year running, as well as other celebrity guests and performers to be announced shortly.

Tickets for this event are, once again, free. You need to be in it to win it though, as the event is always vastly oversubscribed and there is a random draw to allocate wristbands. Registration closes on Monday 1 August at 9am so hurry and register for tickets at www.visitblackpool.com/switchon for your chance to receive up to four wristbands per household.

The switch on concert will be at its recent venue of the Tower Festival Headland, with capacity for up to 20,000 people. The Switch-On celebration will lead into a weekend of music and slime as Nickelodeon’s first UK SLIMEFEST takes place in the resort, with two ticketed live concerts in the Winter Gardens on Saturday 3 September, and a free outdoor Nickelodeon festival on the headland on both the Saturday and Sunday. Further details on the Saturday and Sunday events will be announced soon.

Whilst a significant proportion of tickets are reserved for locals you may want to guarantee your place at the biggest open air concert in Blackpool. Or you may want a different kind of experience away from the mosh pit. Either way the VIP experience could fit the bill; hospitality will once again be hosted by The Sands Venue immediately opposite the Tower Festival Headland arena.

The VIP packages will include access to the Sands Venue and the VIP marquee in the arena – the best view in the house. These are priced from £32.50 for children (under 14) and £65 for adults, tickets include many added extras.

To book your VIP package or find out more, please contact The Sands on 01253 625262 or email: [email protected] or go to www.the-sands-blackpool.co.uk.
