Anger Management EP Released

Deaf of Glory

Deaf Or Glory have a brand new EP out now. The two-piece from Blackpool are lead by the ever cheeky Steve Fromage Fairhurst (ex Ska Faces, Pink Torpedoes, Crackous Rockanroll) on bass and vocals, with Stewart Queso (ex Kudos and Black Pearl) providing drums and vocals.

They describe themselves as, ”A 2 piece alternative rock band from Blackpool. All sorts of rock ‘n’ roll goodies mashed up in a bucket with a big stick by two bald hairy men with massive testicles.”

Their debut ‘Anger Management EP’ is being released on all digital formats in August 2016 via Record Nation and features three tracks “about big decisions, arguments and dementia.” Recorded at Brighton Electric studios (Foals, Architects, Royal Blood) and produced by Josh Harrison (The Cure, Royal Blood, British Sea Power, Tigercub). The Mastering was done by Pete Maher (U2, Jack White, The Rolling Stones). Generously, all of the profits from the track ‘Fading’ will go the The Alzheimer’s Society to raise money to fund more research into dementia.

New to the scene alternative rock bands are meant to be young and edgy but Deaf or Glory (not so much a name as a statement of intent) are a 2 piece with a combined age of 100, but just because they’re not ‘young and deep’ this doesn’t mean they don’t have ‘issues’. Giving an example such as, “a simmering mass of unresolved rage about things as trivial as people not waving ‘thank you’ when you let them through in traffic.’’ Add to that a love of brutal uncompromising riffy rock and a deep seated need to let off steam and there you have this rock twosome.

Deaf or Glory’s Steve says: “The lyrics are also on Soundcloud – I’ve always placed as much importance on the words as the music and this stuff is quite raw.”

The band are off on a UK tour in October visiting Liverpool, Leicester, Coventry, London, Brighton etc – all dates soon to be listed on www.deaforglory.com and you can also like them on Facebook. You can also hear their music on Soundcloud here.
