How would you like to play a part in transforming the cultural life of Blackpool and Wyre?
Back in August we reported that £3 million had been awarded by the Arts Council of England (the largest award under the Creative People and Places Fund) to get more local people involved in the arts in Blackpool and Wyre. The funding is to be used to work with local communities, businesses and artists to create a Playground of Wonders for everyone to enjoy.
The funding is currently managed by a consortium made up of Blackpool Coastal Housing, the Grand Theatre, Merlin Entertainments, Blackpool Council and Wyre Council – and now they are seeking up to 7 new independent board members to provide support and strategic leadership for the Playground of Wonders programme.
If you are enthusiastic about the arts, experienced in partnership-working and genuinely committed to tackling inequalities in participation, they want to hear from you.
They are particularly keen to hear from people with experience and expertise in any of the following areas:
- People, Partnerships and Communities
- Artists and Artforms
- Business, Organisational Competencies and Compliance
