At the tender age of twenty- two, Buddy Holly’s life and career came to its sad end just as his hits were starting to transport him to fame.
With Rock and Roll oldies such as ‘Peggy-Sue’, and ‘That’ll be the Day’, Buddy Holly had world domination in his hands. Despite being a sceptic of the rock and roll music scene, he was very much its rising star.
‘Buddy’, follows the life and times of the pop star, from the makings of Buddy Holly and the Crickets, through to the terrible plane crash which killed him and also Ritchie Valens just ten minutes after take – off.
Referenced latterly in the song by Don Mclean, ‘American Pie’, the singer became posthumous with the acclaim this song had amongst a newer audience.
