Cowbell Social a hit

Saturday night saw the first Cowbell Social take place at Blackpool Cricket Club and it was a massive hit!

Upon arriving at Blackpool Cricket Club on Saturday night we weren’t really sure what to expect from the first ever Cowbell Social. We were pleasantly surprised to see lots of familiar faces once we got through to door and the Cricket Club was a great venue providing the perfect size dance floor (not so big that it looks empty, not so small that you can’t move), hardly any queues at the bar, a smoking balcony and plenty of places to sit for those who just wanted a natter. Better still was the great range of music we heard of the night, keeping us dancing for most of the evening – by the end we just wanted more.

We caught up with Chinny from Cowbell Radio to find out how he thought the night went…

It was everything we wanted it to be, great people, great music and the feel of a private party. The Cricket Club surroundings were perfect and we’ll make more tickets available for the next gig, not too many though, its just a social.

The money that is raised at the Cowbell Social goes back into running Cowbell Radio as well as 25% going to charity – and at just £5 a ticket, it’s a night not to be missed!

The next Cowbell Social is happening on 3 November 2012 with special guest, Flash Atkins, at Blackpool Cricket Club. You can also keep up to date with everything Cowbell Radio is up to on their Facebook page.
