There probably aren’t many grouse shooters among the altBlackpool readership. Like them however you can get excited about August 12 if you have little ones to entertain over the summer holidays, as Step into the Story present their interactive Alice in Wonderland at The Lowther Pavilion.
Blackpool creative Linda Hampton and her business partner Carol Little are the team behind this production. Linda is the script writer, director plays the Red Queen. Carol is the creator of a vividly colourful set and props, all of which contribute to the audiences’ memorable experience.
Children and their grown-ups meet Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and the Red Queen as they step into this well loved classic children’s story. The two hour experience opens with a stage show and meet characters from Wonderland. Children and adults are drawn into the magic and enchantment of this crazy world where the unexpected can be expected.
Children are then divided into groups and guided around the marquee to participate in interactive activities led by the characters from the story. Parents remain with the children throughout.Join the Mad Hatter at his tea party; play croquet with the Red Queen; do arts and crafts with the Cheshire Cat; listen to the White Rabbit telling stories of Wonderland! And chat to Alice herself and her playing card assistants.
The whole event takes place inside the Wonderland marquee which will appear magically for one day only in Lowther Gardens. All children who attend the two hour show receive a complementary goodie bag.
