Looking for last minute stocking fillers for the artistic types in your life.  You could do worse than buy the new history of Blott Artist Studio.  Artist Corrine Streetly, Blott Studio’s Director, has produced ‘Blott History 2000-2016’ looking back on the many different artists who have exhibited there in this period, and also recognising the contribution of many hard working volunteers.

The book traces the development of the Blackpool art heritage since the turn of the millennium. Many of the artists featured have taught future generations of artistic talent at Blackpool and the Fylde College and some ex-members still do. Some are no longer with us, like the locally renowned bird artist Dave Johnson.

You can check out the contents of the book at https://issuu.com/blottartstudios/docs/a_history_of_blott_studios_small . You will have to be quick if you want a copy of the book, as it is a very limited edition with a print run of 45.  The lithographed and perfect bound volumes are available from the studio.  Copies cost £25.  For further details check out Blott Artist-Studio on Facebook.
