For Those About To Rock

If you’re planning ahead to July 2019 why not get organised and book early for “Rock Of Ages” heading to the Opera House that month as announced by Dan Looney, Adam Paulden, Jason Haigh-Ellery and Selladoor Worldwide.

The show adds another treat in the programme after the Opera House recently announced, Dr Doolittle, for the 2019 season, with more big name shows to be revealed in the coming weeks. These will follow a bumper 2018 at the Opera House featuring Shrek the Musical, Fat Friends, Fame and more.

“Rock Of Ages”, a rock/jukebox musical, is built around classic rock songs from the 1980s; an LA love story overlaid with over 25 classic rock anthems. If rock music is your genre you can lose yourself in a city and a time where the musical dreams are as big as the hair.

The show, already a global smash with extensive runs in London’s West End, on Broadway and in Las Vegas, has also been made in to a star studded Hollywood movie. Described as a musical comedy, it features some anthemic singalong songs such as We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Here I Go Again, Can’t Fight this Feeling and I Want To Know What Love Is, all performed by a live band. Beware as the show carries a health warning- ‘contains serious rock n’ roll debauchery’

So why not tune up that air guitar, grow your hair long (you’ve got time before July 2019) and book your tickets for a night of rock nostalgia.  Rock of Ages is at at the Opera House Blackpool from Tuesday 2 – Saturday 6 July 2019. Tickets are on sale from the Opera House Box office or at www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk.
