Tramshed’s Latest Comes To Blackpool Sixth

Tramshed is a theatre company with a difference. Their message is simple: if you haven’t experienced inclusive theatre, you haven’t truly experienced the theatre at all.

Operating across Blackpool, Wyre and the Fylde, the organisation teaches music, drama and dance to anyone who wants to give it a go, from the tiniest tots upward. Watching videos of their vibrant workshops, the incredible energy radiated by the team of volunteers is palpable.

But what really makes Tramshed special is their completely unique shows: all productions – down to the songs – are written specifically for the company. This means that all cast members are fully included with a script that fits all needs and allows every single performer to shine.

“Beside the Seaside”, to be performed in the professional-standard Blackpool Sixth Theatre in July, will take audiences on a musical journey, exploring the excitement of travel and the importance of home. The members have been working on this production since January and it promises to provide an exciting and comical evening.

Zac Hackett, Tramshed’s Artistic Director, says: “when we work together, we achieve so much more”. Beside the Seaside looks set to prove his point.  You can catch it on Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July at Blackpool Sixth Theatre.
