Strictly Dancing for the NHS

Few things are so quintessentially Blackpool as ballroom dancing. Year after year, the nation tunes in to Strictly Come Dancing bedazzled by the glamourous gowns, agile steps and a variety of eager celebs, with eyes set on that important goal post: dancing at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Spotting the opportunity to merge primetime entertainment with a great cause, Crown Ballroom Productions Presents Strictly NHS.

Ballroom Director, Alison Slinger, aims to bring together the dance world for a fantastic fundraising opportunity that gives back to our NHS heroes. The event will be held on Friday 26th February 2021 and invites 12 lucky applicants to team up with dancing professionals. Successful participants will be given the opportunity to train one to one with their given professional for 6 weeks culminating with a Strictly-style performance in front of a live audience and judged by a star-studded panel of experts. Not forgetting the chance to take home a prestigious Glitterball trophy.

If the chance to live out your ballroom dancing dreams is not enough, the project has an added incentive of raising £10,000 for NHS charities.

So if you have a desire to dance and the dedication to train from 11th January for 6 weeks this could be for you. Entry requires no background in dance training and is open to all. Applications are open until Monday 31st August.

Apply today to flex those twinkle toes. https://www.facebook.com/StrictlyNHS

“We hope that you can support us on this magical journey, whilst raising money for our wonderful NHS in the process. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to perform on the iconic Tower Ballroom floor and we truly hope it’s a memorable experience for those lucky enough to take part.”
