As part of their ongoing mission to showcase the work of artists from the FY area, HIVE arts is coming out of lockdown with UnLocked, a brand new exhibition hosted at HIVE artisan coffee shop in the heart of Blackpool town centre.

Running from Thursday 30 July until mid-September, the exhibition features work from over 30 artists. You’ll find work from well known and established names from Blackpool arts scene as well as pieces by  new and emerging artists from the local area and beyond.

The works on show are based around each artists experiences and emotions during the lockdown period, and whilst some are raw and emotionally charged, others show the positivity that even Covid could not affect. Curated by Dawn Mander and Kate Yates, with assistance from members of the HIVE arts community, the show features highlights such as Tetris, by nationally-acclaimed ‘local lad come good’, Chris Fenn AKA Seca One.

The exhibition is open from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week.
You’ll find the exhibition in the ground floor café area.
