Junior Bake Off – Looking For Star Bakers From Blackpool

We all like to think we know our sweet from our savoury, our biscuits from our cakes or our genoise sponge from our Victoria sponge. For many people across the country the combination of lockdowns and home-schooling led many families to delve into their cupboards and whisk up some sweet treats.

For many people across the country the combination of lockdowns and home-schooling led many families to delve into their cupboards and whisk up some sweet treats. This summer bake off is back for our Juniors for its 7th season! The junior spin off of the legendary Great British Bake Off is currently hosted by comedian Harry Hill alongside Liam Charles and new judge Ravneet Gill.

Junior bake off, which airs across Channel 4 as well as CBBC sees young talented bakers tackle a series of challenges mirroring the nation’s favourite Great British Bake Off. These challenges include baking cakes, biscuits, bread and pastries in both technical and show-stopper challenges in order to compete for the title of Junior bake off champion over three weeks

The previous season of bake off, which aired in January 2021, saw 14 year old Reece take the trophy of Junior Bake Off Champion. There was no doubt that the judges were impressed by Reece’s baking skills as he also won star baker a total of 4 times throughout the two week long competition. Since winning the competition, Reece describes the competition as being “absolutely amazing and a dream come true” with his best moments being making so many new friends that were also fellow bakers!

Have you been practicing your baking skills during lockdown or have a secret passion for cakes and pastries? The junior bake off team are looking for talented home bakers aged 9-15 to have their shot at whisking up some tasty treats in the famous white bake off tent this year! If you think you’ve got what it takes to be crowned Junior Bake Off Champion then applications can be made online, via email at [email protected] or by giving them a call on 0207 067 4833.
