Friday night saw the launch of a collaborative new pop-up boutique at FYCreatives open from now until the 1 September 2012. Organised by FYCreatives and independent fashion label, me&yu, over 20 local designers have produced a range of products including clothing, jewellery and artwork – plus more more!

FYCreatives was packed to bursting point, with over 150 people coming to browse the shop, buy some of the products and enjoy some live music from local singer-songwriter, Tali Feblend, plus complimentary drinks courtesy of Stolichnaya Vodka – which everyone enjoyed a lot! In the couple of hours which the shop was open on the launch night over ยฃ500 was taken demonstrating both the quality of the fantastic products on offer, and the demand for them.

We caught up with Angie Hulme from me&yu to find out how she thought the launch went and she told us…

I’m so happy with the response we got last night, everyone was really enthusiastic about the project and loved all the products which were available to buy. No-one realised quite how creative Blackpool locals are – and its great to give them an opportunity to sell their wares.

Check out the video below for a sneaky peek at what is on offer at this fantastic pop-up boutique!

You can visit the Me&FYC shop at FYCreatives on Church Street, Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm until the 1 September 2012. Purchases are cash only. You can also keep up to date with their activities at www.meandyu.com, www.fycreatives.com, on Facebook or follow them on Twitter: @meandfyc. Video editing by Catherine Mugonyi.
