Segway Games and Human Football at Whyndyke Farm

Many folks know about the huge car boot sale which takes place on the land at Junction 4 of the M55.  Taking place every Sunday between April and October, weather permitting, it’s an event which draws crowds from far and wide.  What is less well known is the presence of Impact Leisure’s selection of activities on the site.

Impact have been present at Whyndyke for over twelve years and already offer paintball, lasertag, air rifles, archery and mini Highland games.  This year they are adding two new activities to the line-up.SegwayGames

The Segway Games consist of Segway Splash Bash, Seg and Spoon, Segway Frisbee, Segway Speedway and the Segway scramble. Each session will last just over two and a half hours with full training on the operation of the Segway provided. The price to take part in the Segway Games is £30 per person.

Stuart Rowlands, owner of RideSegway, commented on bringing Segways to Blackpool:

Nothing like this exists currently in Blackpool and with Impact already offering a great range of diverse activities it made total sense to team up with them and offer it at Whyndyke Farm.

Human Table Football is just like the table-top version but instead of small, wooden players , this is a life-size version with players strapped onto poles on an inflatable pitch. Sessions last for one hour and prices per session are £15 for juniors and £20 for adults.

Director of Impact Leisure, Fiona Gibb, said:

We are always looking for new and diverse activities here at Impact, something a little different than your average games – Human Table Football is great fun for everyone, it’s not as easy as the table top version but that is where the fun element comes in!

When you book activities at Whyndyke, you can take advantage of the on-site café serving free tea and coffee to all customers and free parking.  Both activities can be booked by contacting Impact on 01253 767279.
