This Saturday, 1 June 2013, is Poulton Gala. It’s an event that has been happening on the Fylde for over 200 years. The theme is ‘vintage’, with everyone dressing up in costumes to reflect a variety of decades from the twentieth century.
The main event takes place around the town centre with the historic St. Chad’s parish church as an impressive backdrop to a full day of family entertainment. The fun starts in the Market Place from 10am and continues until about 6pm. Live on stage will be the amazing Poulton People’s Choir, Poco Loco Samba Band, Singleton Cloggers, Tom McLeod, The Blue Pig Orchestra, The Blackpool Dead Good Poets and many more singers, dancers, and displays. It will be a wonderful showcase for the talent in this area.

Not everything will be in the main square, there is also a fun fair on Cottam Hall, art open day in the WRVS Room on Queensway and a photographic exhibition in the Masonic Hall.
With a classic car event and The Big Lunch in the Church Hall on Sunday 2 June, the weekend is set to be a real vintage year for the Poulton Gala.
