Arts organisation House of Wingz and skateboard charity Live Like Ralph are cohosting a celebration of creativity, style and sustainability this December.
Blackpool Style Assembly is an exciting immersive event spotlighting creativity and sustainable fashion in the heart of Blackpool. Showcasing handmade designs and reworked pieces styled with preloved and borrowed accessories, this event highlights the importance of ethical and eco-conscious practices.
Audiences can enjoy runway shows, exhibitions, and music, celebrating local designers and makers while boosting Blackpool’s reputation as a cultural hub. Funds raised will honour the legacy of Ralph Roberts, supporting Live Like Ralph and Skool of Street, two local charities inspiring young people through creative activities and skateboarding.
There are three shows at House of Wingz’ studios on Back Reeds Road on 14th December – for families at 2pm, for 16+ at 4pm and for 18+ at 7pm. At 9pm there’ll be a ticketed aftershow party at Ferny House – the promenade hotel run by event organisers Sam and Aish Docherty Bell.
House of Wingz aims to highlighting the fabulous talent the town has to offer and demonstrate the diverse results achievable in sustainable fashion. Featured artists include Crafty Cloth, Herbrand, House of Wingz, Allura, Crafty House, Blake Rainey, Julia Czuczwara, Michael Omoruyi, Nico Norton-Henson and Aysh De Belle.
Audiences should arrive 30 minutes before the show and are encouraged to dress to express their authentic selves and walk the red carpet for their arrival. The even is open to all, and entry is £10 or £20 for the evening performance and afterparty at Ferny House.
