“This was something brand new for Blackpool, exciting, immersive, and deeply creative,” said Aysh De Belle of House of Wingz. “It’s proof that our town has the talent and vision to put itself on the style map.”
On Saturday 16 August, Blackpool’s House of Wingz opened its doors to the local community, inviting them to join in a celebration of inclusive, multicultural, and sustainable arts in the form of dance, sustainable fashion, spoken word and poetry, photography, live performance, and community activism.
The concept of Blackpool Style Assembly steers away from the promotion of fast, disposable fashion and mass production and instead encourages people to be the creators of their own individualised, sustainable style, which in turn, reflects the unique character of Blackpool’s artistic, seaside vibe.

Now in its second year and via two performances at 3 pm and 7 pm at House of Wingz, Blackpool’s iconic hub of street culture, audiences were transported through a maze of themed rooms, swept away by expressive design and a contagious fusion of live DJs, musicians, dancers, filmmakers, and visual and verbal artists.
