See your Valentine light up with Blackpool Illuminations

A candlelit dinner for two? Perfume? Chocolates?

Are you bored of the same old Valentine’s Day gifts?  Are you looking for something really different, something a little bit special to surprise your significant other?  Do you want the whole world to know just how much you love them and what they mean to you?

If you’ve answered yes then we might have just the gift you’re looking for. Love is certainly in the air with the Blackpool Illuminations team.  They have come up with a fantastic opportunity for all the romantics out there wanting to do something really unique this year.

For a limited time only you will have your chance to make your significant other, family member or even beloved pet a part of the world-famous bright lights on the Golden Mile. Yes, your loved one could become one of the Illuminations in this year’s switch on.

Especially for Valentine’s Day, Blackpool Illuminations are making it possible to have a picture of you and your other half together in the 102nd Illuminations switch on for the price of £49.99. Each couple will be seen by more than three million visitors to the resort and will become part of Blackpool’s history, part of a tradition that has been on-going since 1879.Valentines Headlight 2014 - Jade and Mark Warburton

The Illuminations will run for 73 nights from Friday 29 August until Sunday 9 November and the Valentine images will be located on the Headlights feature along the Cliffs section of the promenade (opposite the Old Miners’ Convalescent Home). For an additional £9.99 you will be able to keep your image after the display has been taken down and it will be sent direct to your home.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of Blackpool’s heritage.  There are only a limited number of spaces so it would be advisable to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Order now and you will receive a Valentines gift card to give to your loved one on the day. Full details can be found on the Visit Blackpool site.
