Illuminasia at The Winter Gardens

Today sees Illuminasia opening its doors to the public for the first day of Blackpool’s newest family attraction. The inside of Olympia inside the Winter Gardens has been transformed into a huge indoor illuminated fantasy land with six immersive zones, from The Blackpool Experience to The Wonders of the World, featuring our very own Tower.

The show takes you through various rooms and locations and individuals are free to take photographs. Move among the sharks and sea creatures of The Deep and be amazed by The Wonders of the World.  Blending the traditional Chinese craft of lantern making with modern technology, Illuminasia includes hundreds of incredible exhibits across thousands of square feet all indoors. The sheer scale and spectacle of the exhibits is breathtaking and visitors will discover six interactive, immersive zones, an audience with the Dragon Emperor in The Mysteries of China, decades of history and a huge street map in The Blackpool Experience.

Illuminasia is open daily from 11am to 6pm between 18 April and 9 November (excluding 7 – 10 August) and for selected dates in the winter months before returning in 2015.

Tickets cost £12.95 for adults, £9.95 for children (3-14), children 2 years and under are free and a group ticket for 4 people is £40.
