Photo Walk: Town centre sights

Time flies and another Tea Amantes-based photowalk hoved into view. David Simper selected his trusty twin lens reflex film camera and caught the service 61 bus to the cafe to endezvous with the posse. Here’s a few results for your delectation.

Part of the Tea Amantes photowalk ritual is that Stan asks you to draw a theme for the day. This time mine was ‘3’. So, you can choose from three posts on the Prom…

Or three people having a fag break outside Subway.

For those interested, I used my Yashica 635 twin lens reflex camera loaded with HP5 120 film, giving a twelve shot roll. I shot through a yellow filter, which tends to sort the urban contrast out nicely.

I have worked in the housing and transport professions for several local authorities, specialising in policy, strategy preparation and bid writing. Having always had an interest in film, the visual arts in general, theatre, music and lterature, I thought it would be good to combine the writing experience with these interests to contribute to altBlackpool. In addition to writing, my hobbies include watercolour and pastel painting, photography, woodwork, cycling and vegetable gardening.
