Place-inspired poetry workshop

Date: 13 Jul 2023
Location: Aunty Social, 28 Topping Street
community | literature

Join local writer Linda Hampton for a relaxed poetry writing workshop. In this place-inspired poetry writing workshop, you are invited to explore what Blackpool means to you. Using memories, history of the town, as well as inspiration from the iconic venues and buildings (and some less well known) in the town, participants will have the opportunity to get out and about looking at the buildings and places in the Blackpool Heritage Action Zone Area, then take some time to plan and write their own piece of poetry. There will be an opportunity to share your work with the other participants (although there is no pressure to do this), and to reflect on the process.
