It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Can you hear those Jingle Bells? Making a list, checking it twice? In short – are you in the Christmas spirit? Well, Blackpool’s the place to be if you want to get that festive feeling.

Take your first steps to festivity by making a date with VisitBlackpool’s Christmas Advent Calendar where you can win big prizes over the Christmas season.  Panto tickets, swimming with sharks, meals, shopping vouchers, luxury hotel stays, perfume and even a sparkling diamond necklace, plus lots more are all on the menu as well as lots of special offers.

Whether you are buying gifts for friends and family or you just want to treat yourself, the VisitBlackpool Advent Calendar is the perfect way to start your Christmas shopping.  But don’t keep it a secret. Share the calendar on social media so all your friends can enjoy the benefits too.

There’s a double helping of panto magic this Christmas as the Grand Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty from December 5 to January 4, starring Jennifer Ellison as the wicked Carabosse. Aladdin is at Blackpool Tower Circus with resident clowns Mooky and Mr Boo until January 28.

At Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ice Arena, Santa Claus’ Grotto is open on selected dates until Christmas Eve featuring your favourite characters including Poppy Corn, Kandy Floss and Bradley and Bella Beaver.

And if you fancy an evening of glitz and glamour, head down to The Sands Venue where you are promised a spectacular evening, or let your hair down at Viva or Funny Girls for their fabulous Christmas shows.

And for those Christmas movie classics, take the family to the Opera House Cinema on selected dates throughout December for films like It’s A Wonderful Life, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Love Actually and lots more seasonal goodness.

You can also take advantage of some great car parking offers with selected dates only costing £1! Park for a Pound will coincide with Thursday late night shopping dates that include December 4, 11 and 18. Drivers can park from 5pm until midnight in the four town centre council car parks; West Street, Central, Talbot multi-storey and East Topping Street for just £1. The Houndshill Shopping Centre will also be taking part in this offer, during late night Thursdays on these dates and times. Park for a Pound will also be available Sunday December 7 and 14 in the four council town centre car parks. And on December 6, national ‘Small business Saturday’ will see free parking in all council car parks throughout the day and evening.
