The festival is free to attend and includes elements of dance, rap, performance, singing and music. There will also be a bouncy castle, face painting, live graffiti art, a live DJ, stalls, food, dance battles and a flash mob.

She is a world street dance champion and has devised and choreographed an abundance of dance shows over the course of her career. She is responsible for many young champions in Blackpool as she runs and trains an urban dance crew ‘FY WINGZ’ in Blackpool.
Aishley has produced and co-produced several shows since attending theatre school in London and has a vast knowledge of hip-hop theatre, as well as being a dancer. She has worked with young people in New York, London and Blackpool teaching both dance and drama.
Sam and Aishley say of Skool of Street
“We wanted to create some local hip-hop Theatre and display the creativity and talent of the young people in our town and the surrounding areas. The industry can be very expensive for participants and we feel very strongly that this alienates and restricts many young people. For this reason, we decided to set up skool of street to enable us to seek funding allowing us to provide workshops for free. We train the participants in the arts and teach them how to harness their own creativity.”
“The end result, which is a show, allows them to work towards a goal, and is great for displaying their new and developing skills to the community. We have also found that we are developing new audiences by engaging young people through the promotion of hip-hop theatre. We have big and exciting plans and hope to achieve continued support so that we offer more young people this fantastic opportunity.”
Skool of Street would like to welcome anybody who has an interest in taking part in dance battles, any artists who would like to come and spray, and anybody who is interested in having a fun and FREE family day out.
