West End Hip-Hop goes West Coast with Zoonation

ZooNation

Zoonation Dance company are on the road and heading for Blackpool. After the success of ‘Into the Hoods Remixed’ at the Peacock Theatre in London late last year, the hip-hop dance company will now tour this funk fuelled, family friendly, fairy-tale mashup, around the country.

The production is a fresh, remixed version of ‘into the hoods’, which stormed the West End in 2008, becoming one of the first ever hip-hop dance shows, and the longest running dance show in West End history.

Into The Hoods Remixed is set in the ‘Ruff Endz Estate’ and tells the story of how two lost schoolchildren find themselves tasked with finding and iPhone as white as milk, some trainers as pure as gold, a hoodie as red as blood, and some weave as yellow as corn in exchange for their bus fare home. Along their way they meet and interact with several vibrant characters, all on their own personal journeys. The story is told effortlessly through phenomenal dance moves, routines and cool grooves, a classic tale, with and urban twist.

The production is bursting with attitude, Swagga, and comedy. The music will leave you itching to get on your feet and bust a move. The cast treat you to an overwhelmingly confident, humorous and street wise performance exploding hip-hop finesse. The most feel-good performance I have seen come to Blackpool yet, and a hugely recommended visit to the Grand Theatre this spring.

Into the Hoods: Remixed is at the Grand Theatre Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 March 2016: Evenings 7:30pm, Wednesday Matinee 2:30pm. To book tickets call Box Office on 01253 74 33 39 or visit blackpoolgrand.co.uk
