As a special tribute to the Pleasure Beach on their 120th anniversary, the world famous Red Arrows will perform some of their daredevil stunts over South Promenade to a wowed audience on Saturday 21 May.
This spectacle is not the annual air show usually held in August, but a special one off performance to celebrate one hundred and twenty years of Blackpool Pleasure Beach since its opening in 1896.
The Red Arrows are renowned for their breath taking air displays and roaring engines as they loop the loop in perfect formation with their patriotic red, white and blue smoke leaving the sky full of fantastic patterns.
As well as celebrating their 120th anniversary, the Pleasure Beach’s Skyforce ride is also having its first birthday and having been inspired by the Red Arrows, the aerial tribute is particularly fitting.
The Red Arrows will perform in a free show which you’ll be able to watch from many vantage points along Blackpool Promenade, but focused around South Promenade. The display is planned to begin at approximately 6pm.
So, with the Irish Sea as a back drop, and the Big One and other roller coasters creating an stunning vista for viewing the Red Arrows, all we can hope for is sunshine. However, rain or shine, we’re sure the display will be a fantastic spectacle for all to enjoy. Do not miss this one off show, which is FREE, at Blackpool South Promenade Saturday 21 May at around 6pm.
