Those of you with young children are probably being asked how many sleeps is it until Christmas. For those of you who have no clue, the answer is 129 give or take a couple depending when you are reading this. It is probably only a matter of time before you are also asked who is starring in the renowned Grand Theatre pantomime. And we can tell you that once again true sandgrown‘un Hayley Kay will be featuring in the production of Aladdin. (You can insert your own ‘oh no she isn’t’ here if you are into audience participation with websites).
As well as Hayley in her fourth Grand Theatre season there are several others who will be known to little ones and more seasoned panto goers alike. These include BAFTA award-winning children’s presenter Barney Harwood, BBC Radio Lancashire presenter and Grand Theatre pantomime favourite Steve Royle and Holby City/Coronation Street Star Mark Moraghan.
Aladdin is an iconic fantasy packed with music and dance, fun and laughter, bravery and love. Will the beautiful princess find true love? What’s all the fuss about a dusty old lamp? This performance promises spectacular sets, dazzling costumes and side-splitting comedy.
Hayley, who became a Mum for the first time in December to Freddie says “It’s a privilege to perform at such a beautiful, historic theatre and I can’t wait to get started!”
Andrew Howard, Grand Theatre Marketing Manager said: “I am overjoyed that Hayley will return after her huge popularity. We can’t wait for her to join the amazing cast we have this year from TV presenters and Comedians to stars of prime time Soaps – We know this is going to be another record-breaking year!”
Aladdin is running from Friday 9 December this year to Sunday 8 January 2017. Some performances will already be filling up so it is well worth getting tickets now for the dates that fit with your Christmas plans. If you require the Audio Described and British Sign Language interpreted performance this is Saturday 17 December at 2pm.
Tickets start at £15.50 for children. Group deals include £66 for a four person family ticket, check the website for details of which performances this and Senior Passes are available. For more information or to book your tickets visit blackpoolgrand.co.uk
