Block Rockin’ Beats in Blackpool

Chemical Brothers

Following The Chemical Brothers’ huge debut performance at London’s SW4 Festival last Bank Holiday Sunday, the globally-recognised pioneers of electronic dance music return to the UK in December win their critically-acclaimed live show.

The duo that comprises Tom Rowlands and Ed Symons are fairly local, both hailing from Manchester and began performing together in previous incarnations as early as 1989. As The Chemical Brothers, they have been at the very forefront of moulding live electronic music for the last twenty years, and it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down.

They began gigging in dank London pubs, and over the last two decades their stage act has morphed into one of the most in-demand festival headline sets in the world. They’ve become music icons by sticking to the basic idea that “the gig should create its own transcendent audio-visual space where the audience can lose themselves for the duration of the set.”

In support of their 6th UK number 1 album, Born in the Echoes, the band will close their world tour with three very special dates; Glasgow SEC on Wednesday 7th December, Blackpool Empress Ballroom on Friday 9th December, and London Eventim Apollo on Saturday 10th December.

Tickets went on sale this morning at 10am from www.ticketmaster.co.uk and the Winter Gardens. Don’t delay though as they’re sure to sell out quickly.
