Preview: Comedy Superstar at The Grand

This November, Blackpool’s Grand Theatre will be host to religious dubstep, folk bouzouki, horntallica, a re-appraisal of some of the world’s greatest works of art and perhaps a dub version of Downton Abbey.

A comedian of international renown will explore the consequences of lies, the unending search for the higgs and the hiding skills of dentists.

He will confront his cluster-qualm of living in a time of spectacular ignorance and rare planetary alignment.

This man of sparse follicles has been described thus:

…true 21st century polymath.  A unique comedic gift, a pitch-perfect musician, a talented actor…

The show contains musical mash-ups, multi-lingual riffs, films, songs, philosophizing and silliness on a grand scale… Plus one amazing owl.

If you’re still scratching your head, allow me to throw a handful of keywords in your direction: Knebworth, Edinburgh Festival, Black Books, Cosmic Jam, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, QI, Spaced, Jonathan Creek, Skins, Have I Got News For You, Birdwatching Bonanza.

Don’t know who it is?  You probably wouldn’t enjoy the show.  Unless creatures which live under rocks have a sense of humour?  Answers in the comments section please.  Everyone else, visit The Grand’s Website to book your tickets before they are gone forever.

Qualmpeddlar runs from 1st to 2nd November 2013.
