Judo olympic legend visits Blackpool

Judo legend Brian Jacks is currently touring the UK to promote his autobiography ‘Mindset of a Champion’ and will be visiting Blackpool Keidokwai Judo Club for a Judo masterclass, talk, Q&A and book signing on Thursday 14 September.

Brian shot to fame when he won a sliver medal at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. He is also a nine-time world champion but many will remember him from the 1980’s tv show The Superstars.

Blackpool Keidokwai, who celebrated their 75th anniversary earlier this year, are thrilled to be hosting such a giant of judo.

The Masterclass takes place at Blackpool Keidokwai Judo Club, in the Gymnasium above Revoe Library. Juniors £12, Seniors £15. 6-7.15pm. This will be followed by the talk, Q&A and book signing at Revoe Library. Tickets £2. 7.30-8.30pm. Tickets are payable on the door for both events but please book your place in advance.

To book please contact Gary Burt on 07818 482065, email [email protected] or search Facebook for Keidokwai Judo Club. There will also be an opportunity to buy Brain Jacks book on the night for £19.99.
