Hot on the heels of Emma Benyon’s Camera-less, FYCreatives, in partnership with local arts projects The Lucky Jotter and Supercollider, are bringing artists the chance to show their work in the fabulous, white wall, FYC gallery space, as part of their next exhibition Deltiology.

Artists are invited to submit work either in postcard or business card scale, allowing them the chance to showcase their work in a different way and as part of the group exhibition which will show throughout August 2013 in this prominent Church Street location. Each artist is able to submit up to three works as part of the open call for submissions and are requested to add the title, artist name and contact details on the back of each submission.

We spoke to Garth Gratrix of FYCreatives who told us:

FYC Gallery is excited to open the space available to artists of local and national acclaim in its first group show since the new partnership between Supercollider Contemporary Art Projects and The Lucky Jotter started in April 2013. It is a great opportunity for artists to exhibit their work in a professional white cube space (one of few available in Blackpool). The exhibition, Deltiology, responds to Blackpool tourism as well as business progress within the creative industries offering artists a chance to make work in either a postcard or business card scale. Therefore being professionally playful whilst adding to artists portfolios as they progress further.

Joseph Pegler, Curator of The Lucky Jotter told us:

I think this is a fantastic project for all artists to get involved with and is bound to show a diverse range of skills across the board. Super excited to get this show to a Blackpool audience!

The deadline for submissions to be part of Deltiology is 26 July 2013.

Submissions should be posted to Deltiology, FYC Gallery, 154-158 Church Street, Blackpool, FY1 3PS. For more information visit The Lucky Jotter Facebook page or the FYCreatives Facebook page.
