
This weekend, Blackpool hosts the annual Rebellion Festival and will see the town transformed into a punk paradise. Rebellion is a firm favourite on the Blackpool musical calendar and thousands are expected from across the globe.
Thursday night sees the first of the Rebellion after shows take place at The Tache with live music from Fight Back, The Zipheads, Social Schism and At The Edge from 11pm onwards.
Friday afternoon begins with Mauri Clash live at The Galleon on Abingdon Street from 4pm followed by Blest Mess from 6.30pm, Slutch from 8pm and Laura Catlow at 9.30pm taking you right through into the evening. Down at The Tache the after show begins from 11pm with live music from Senton Bombs, Demob, Dragster and R.S.I. Also from 11pm but up the road at West Coast Rock Cafe, Misery of Sound bring you a night of Psychobilly with Jack O Bones, The Ligaments and The Goddamn Wallbangers carrying on until about 3.30am.
The next day you can head to The Tache’s Saturday Matinee with Ska Face from 2pm setting you up for the afternoon. Once you’ve had your fill of entertainment inside the Winter Gardens, head back out into town for the second night of Misery of Sound at West Coast Rock Cafe with Church of Confidence, The Go Go Cult and Moonshine Stalkers on stage from 11pm. Also on offer down the road at The Tache is the Rebellion after show from 11pm. On the bill are The Friend, The Vile and Cryogenics.
Sunday afternoon kicks off with the Sex Pistols Experience at The Tache for their matinee from 2pm onwards, bringing you the world’s number one Sex Pistols tribute act with support from Sedated. Also at The Tache on Sunday evening is the final Rebellion after party with music from Radio Dead Ones, Army of Skanks and Pink Hearse from 11pm onwards.
