Review: Fylde Food Festival at the Marine Hall

The Marine Hall in Fleetwood drew crowds on Sunday morning as they opened their doors for the Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival.ย  Stalls lined the walls proffering tasty treats, free samples and demonstrations.

With stalls ranging from the tastiest in Gurkha curries, smoked meats and delicious pork sausages to cake making, handmade Belgian chocolate treats and a lemonade stand, the variety was fantastic.

We were treated to live cooking demonstrations by the head chefs of Twelve Restaurant who made a delicious pork belly and scallop starter and continued to prepare other courses throughout the day and the ladies from Pampered Chef displayed numerous kitchen gadgets that I didnโ€™t even know existed.

There was plenty for children to do as well.ย  Glitter tattoos, face painting, cake decorating and windsock making were some of the activities on offer, giving parents the time to chill out and enjoy the lovely treats. ย The only trouble to be had was trying to find room for all the delicious food we had the opportunity of tasting, but the friendly bar staff at the Marine Hall were on hand to help us wash it all down!

All in all it was a great day for all the family and I was delighted with the blackberry and sloe gin jam that I came away with!ย  Please take a look at some of the fantastic photoโ€™s taken by Jill of Red Snapper Photography who really captures the feel of the event.
