There is no rest for the wicked, as they say. Just as the Salford Music Festival has this weekend come to a hugely successful end, Blackpool Music Festival guru and co-ordinator, Jon Bamborough, is busy at work yet again putting together the bands and soloists line up for what should be a very exciting and groundbreaking festival of the area’s best live music. Kicking off on Thursday October 10, across various venues around town and lasting throughout the weekend, it will be a musical paradise for those who love and appreciate the cream of the very best live acts in the area, with something to suit every taste. From rock to soul, folk to punk, the Blackpool Music Festival will have everything! Jon has carefully selected some incredible musicians, all giving their time freely to promote live local music along with the venues staging each night. This has taken a great deal of organising and with the cooperation of musicians and local venues alike, we should have a music festival to be very proud of and one that will keep Blackpool on the map as a place for great live music.
Here at altblackpool we will have all the information on the bands and solo acts performing, as well as the venues and times. We have received the first announcement today from Jon and as more come in and are confirmed, we will get them up on the website so you can pencil them into your diary. So without further ado, here is the first line up of fantastic musicians confirmed for Uncle Tom’s Cabin over the weekend October 10 to October 13.
Tune up those air guitars!
