Two Door Cinema Club at the Empress Ballroom

Northern Irish indie band Two Door Cinema Club last night confirmed they will be performing live at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, on Thursday 12 December

Obviously the reputation as a brilliant rock venue persuaded the popular band to name the date as part of only two so far confirmed UK appearances on their current tour, along with the O2 Arena in London. After a string of concerts in the U.S and the Far East, they head to the Fylde Coast where it is certain that tickets will sell out very fast. As veterans of many festival stages, including Glastonbury, the Northern Irish lads have a huge following with their distinctive jangly indie rock sound and have gone gold and platinum respectively with each album released.  A newly released EP, Changing Of The Seasons, is now available along with their current albu,Beacon, which reached number two in the UK album chart.

Their most well known ditties are the brilliant Sleep Alone and What You Know as well as the catchy Undercover Martin.  They are sure to have the Empress Ballroom crowd rocking. Many of their tunes have been used in TV commercials for the likes of Vodafone and Debenhams. The new album is produced by Jacknife Lee, who has also produced material for U2, R.E.M and Snow Patrol, so the quality is unquestionably good. Lead vocalist Alex Trimble has a distinctive voice and along with fellow band members Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird, they form a formidable sound which in the live arena has audiences dancing and singing along with their tunes.

Pre- sale tickets are available for the gig from tomorrow morning (Wednesday 2 October) at 9am and go on general sale on Friday (4 October) at 9am.

These are sure to sell fast. To get more gig and ticket information go to Gigs and Tours and check out the Two Door Club Official website here.
