Festive fun at your local library

There are lots of exciting activities taking place over the festive period at your local library:

Fri 13 & Sat 14 Dec 10am-4pm

Layton Library

Ssupporting the Layton Christmas Tree Festival at Salem Methodist Church, Westcliffe Drive, with a literary-themed Christmas Tree.

Sat 14 Dec

Moor Park Library

Children’s festive party from 10am-12pm. It’s free but booking is essential. Please ring 478120. This is followed by a performance by the Moor Park Primary School orchestra between 2 and 4pm.

Central Library

Festive Fun Day, featuring Linzi Cason’s Festive Fun Photo Booth from 12.30 till 4.30pm. Have a quirky family Christmas photo taken and printed. £1 per family photo. Booking not required and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Festive crafty fun for the kids – 12.30 till 4.30pm. This is a free event and booking is not required.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lego club sessions at 11.30am and 2.30pm.  These are free events but booking is essential, call Julie on 07429348825.

Tea dance taster session 1-2.30pm A free event with no booking required.

Christmas table centre decoration making 1.30-4.30pm. £10 per person. Please book by calling 478070.

Santa will be visiting in the afternoon.

Caroling during the day from Kevin Matthews (12.30 – 1pm), the Revoe-lution Choir (1.45-2.15pm) and the Revoe School Choir (2.45-3.15pm).
Central Library café will be open all day for festive refreshments.

Thu 19 Dec

Palatine Library

Join the Palatine Swing Choir at 2pm for a festive performance.

Blackpool Library Service is also supporting Shop Boutique with Lisa Wigham’s handmade Pop-Up Library on display from Dec 6 – 21 Dec at Shop Boutique, St Johns Square.  This is in partnership with Grundy Art Gallery and FYC. Shop Boutique is a pop up shop showcasing regional designer/makers over Xmas.christmas 2013
