Bands at The Blue Room
Saturday night at The Blue Room sees three bands from far and wide coming together for what should be a great night of live entertainment. The North, a four piece from Chesterfield will be playing their brand of 60’s influenced Psychedelic Indie, Rock & Roll. Also carrying on the Psychedelic mood will be Translucid, from Stoke-On-Trent. Completeing the line up for the evening are Ballymena Pop/Rock outfit Sethway, this will be the groups final leg of their UK Tour promoting their new single ‘The Constant’.
The first band will be on at around 8.30pm.
Bullets and Daffodils
The newly reburbished Cedar Tavern welcomes Bullets and Daffodils to it’s ‘Gallery’ for a special evening as part of the 100 Thosand Poets For Change day on Saturday 29th September. A musical drama based on the Life and Works of the Nations favourite war poet, Wifred Owen. altblackpool’s Vicky Ellis gave us a sneak preview of what to expect earlier in the week.

Lieutenant Dan– The Stanley Park Band Stand
Although last Weekend was supposed to be the last event of the year on Stanley Parks band stand, a final event has been announced for this Sunday. Young local rock group Lieutenant Dan will be be taking over for the afternoon, weather permitting, playing a mix of covers not normally heard on the ‘pub band’ scene. It’s sure to be fun day if the weather stays dry. Also on the line up are Veasey.
The event is free and will begin around 1pm.
